Under the Clean Air Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established authorities to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from factory farms. The problem is that EPA can’t fully utilize its authority because of sneaky amendments to appropriations bills in Congress.
The climate crisis is too urgent to allow factory farms to escape regulatory oversight and tracking of greenhouse gas emissions. EPA must be given the necessary resources to monitor and regulate this polluting industry.
Urge Congress to prioritize mandatory reporting and regulation of greenhouse gas emissions from factory farms now!
