The Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is making it very clear: water access is critical for public health. You can't wash your hands without water.
Lack of water access puts members of our community at risk, which means it puts all of us at risk too. We all deserve access to clean water in order to take the necessary measures to keep ourselves and our communities safe.
Six states have suspended shutoffs for all utilities, and more than 300 cities and municipalities across the country have already enacted moratoria on water shutoffs, securing another line of defense in stopping widespread transmission of the virus.
Urge your Governor to enact a moratorium on all water shutoffs in your state (or thank them if they've already taken action).
