Protect Ventura's Water: EXTEND the Ban on New Oil Wells Now!

Photo of tar sands infrastructure in Ventura County

Earlier this year the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) reported petroleum-related gases near flammable levels in Oxnard's and Camarillo's water supply. Ventura County Supervisors did the right thing by voting for an emergency moratorium that would put a temporary ban on certain new oil and gas wells near drinking water.

This emergency moratorium will expire soon, and since we haven't heard any updates from USGS about their findings, nothing has changed and we expect the County keep extending the moratorium.

We just learned County Supervisors will vote on a one-year extension next Tuesday, November 5.

Sign the form provided to urge the Ventura County Supervisors to protect Ventura's water and stand up for environmental justice by extending this oil and gas moratorium now!
