Tell Governor Wolf and DEP to STOP Mariner East and Restore Clean Water to Families

The Wolf Administration and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) have allowed Energy Transfer to repeatedly violate their permits and the Clean Streams Act throughout Mariner East construction.

They have allowed communities across the Commonwealth to be polluted in order to build a dangerous, explosive pipeline project to ship fracked ethane overseas to make plastic junk.

This blatant disregard for the law has already resulted in 48 criminal charges by the PA Attorney General including water contamination, failure to report accidents and the use of unapproved additives in drilling fluids.

Families across Pennsylvania have been impacted by the reckless construction of Mariner East. Hundreds of homes have had their water wells ruined and many still are without clean drinking water, a constitutional right of every person in the Commonwealth.

It is unsafe and irresponsible to allow construction of Mariner East to continue.

Sign the petition to urge Wolf and the DEP to restore water to families and pull the Mariner East permits now!

Sign the Petition:

Governor Wolf and Secretary McDonnell,

The PA Attorney General recently announced 48 criminal charges against Energy Transfer for Mariner East construction including water contamination, failure to report accidents and the use of unapproved additives in drilling fluids.

This Administration has allowed Mariner East construction to continue despite repeated violations and an egregious disregard for the laws and permits designed to protect Pennsylvanians and the environment.

This failure to use your regulatory authority has resulted in destruction to our waterways, wetlands, land, private property and the water wells of hundreds of families, many who are still without clean drinking water.

We urge you to uphold the law and the state constitution, honor your duty to protect Pennsylvanians and use your authority now to revoke the permits for Mariner East construction; issue a moratorium on future permits; and restore clean drinking water to homes.
